I've been away for awhile *cough* the past year due to my full time job.

I'm working my hardest to get my life back on track!

• NYC New York Colo Individual Eyes Custom Compact
  Which comes with primer, illuminator, applicator and 4 eyeshadows.
  It retails about $4.99 and it's actually pretty nice for the price!
• Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Start Kit
  I received a full fan type of lash and the applicator makes it so much easier to apply!
  It retails about $5.99 - really great for lash newbies (like me)!
• Bath & Body Works Mini Candle
  The scent I got was  Black Pepper Bergamont and I will be honest. 
  The named turned me off but I reluctantly gave it a whiff and it's actually lovely.
  A very home-y scent, and makes you think of the great outdoors.
  It retails for about $3.50 - a little pricey for the size.
  But comes with a $10 off a 3 wick candle coupon till Oct 28th.
• EBOOST
  Which is a powder you add to your water for energy.
  It doesn't taste bad but it's a little pricey but it's to each their own.
  It retails for about $28.00 for a box of 20 ($1.40 PER packet)
• Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin
  What can I say? I've always wanted them but never got around to buying them.
  I love them, makes putting my hair in a bun a breeze and doesn't give me weird hair dents.
  You know the ones I'm talking about!
  Retails for about $7.29
• Not your Mothers Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream
  My hair is naturally wavy but this helped it keep the natural wave without weighing it down.
  Really great for the price!
  Retails about $6.00 for a 4oz bottle.
• Vitabath Fragrance Mist
  I received a full sized bottle in dreamy pink frosting and I really do like it.
  Very feminine and has an undertone of buttercream so I feel like a big dessert!
  The scent lasts a good 4-6 hours if you're just lounging about. 
  I work in a call center so I was able to gauge the times on this. Sitting and more sitting!
  Retails for about $9.99 

Overall this box was absolutely amazing!

Julep Maven

I recieved an email from Julep Maven with a first months trial for 5$ so I said "Oh why not" and put in my credit card information. I picked a 4 polish set that was a holiday special for 19.99$ and with the discount code "DECEMBER" - it in fact totalled to 5$ and free shipping. I was very skeptical about the polishes. Even though they are mentioned in Vogue and In Style. Can't believe everything right?

My box finally got here and it was packaged very beautifully and with such care and precision. I should have taken pictures but I was excited and about to go to sleep so I tore into it like Godzilla would Tokyo. I recieved these 4 polishes:

Helena: Ultra-saturated fuchsia.

Chloe: Charcoal base with a holiday sparkle in a vibrant magenta.

Kim: Dark, gunmetal grey. Smoky and mysterious.

Julep Fast Dry Topcoat: A glossy finish that prevents yellowing and protects nail color with fast-drying shine.

At first, I'll be honest. I couldn't stand these polishes. They were super thin and runny and I just gooped them everywhere. I promptly called and cancelled my account.

I decided to give them a second shot and play with them more at work. So I brought Helena and the Julep Top Coat with me with J'adoreNoir Cosmetics Vanity Duo's Show Girl. Since I work graveyards at a hotel I get bored and sometimes play with nail polish to pass the time. I soon started realizing that these polishes are actually really great, just a pain in the butt to work with initially. I had the SMOOTHEST finish I have ever seen - almost gel like and the top coat adds to the glossy factor by making them look professional.

All in all I give them 4 out of 5 Hearts.

Because of the thin-ness they are a pain to work with at first.

I've been buying goodies from J'adoreNoir Cosmetics for awhile now.
From lip stains, to nail polish, eye shadows and blush.
Ms. Angel has it going on. :D

Her stuff is SUPER pigmented. So a little goes a LONG way.

 Her packaging is super secure.
Comes double bubble wrapped, everything is labeled.
Very professional in that regard.

Now onto the look!

Well this is the start of my first beauty blog.
I plan on doing reviews of indie companies I purchase from.

As well as showing off some of my "skillz" LOL
I want to show others the joys of make-up.
